1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
2. In a separate pan, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
3. Add 2 minced garlic cloves to the butter and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
4. Remove the pan from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of lemon zest, and a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
5. Drain the pasta, reserving a little cooking water.
6. Toss the pasta in the citrus butter sauce, adding a bit of the reserved water if needed to loosen the sauce.
