1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
2. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of pepper.
3. Dredge the chicken wings in the flour mixture until well coated.
4. In a separate bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid.
5. Heat up vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
6. Fry the chicken wings in batches until golden and crispy, about 10 minutes per batch.
7. Remove the wings and let them rest on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
